Where to get inspiration...

Updated: May 25, 2020

Hi, I'm Jade! I am a passionate nail tech and educator on Rachael’s KISS education team. I have been creating nails for over 8 years now. I have always enjoyed art and being creative which I find really helps when looking for inspiration for my nails. I think you can find inspiration in almost anything and everything.

Over the years social media has grown so much since I qualified and can be amazing to use for inspiration. I know for some, it can make you feel like you’re not good enough, or impossible to achieve the same outcome as some... but everyone once started as a complete beginner.

With that being said it should inspire you, that one day (after many knock backs, trust me) you can also be at the same level.

I really enjoy picking up my brushes and creating unique hand-painted nail designs and I find a lot of my inspiration now comes from Instagram.

There are so many amazingly talented nail technicians/artists that inspire me everyday on there and in the Kiss education team. I always find designs I want to try and recreate and like to add my own touch too. Being a creative person I thoroughly enjoy putting my own unique twist on a nail design. It gives me immense pride to see my creations evolve!

I also find I get inspiration from other things now, like real paintings, the garden, my jewellery, slogans/branding, scenery and anything pretty really (I have loads of tattoos but all completely girlie). Once I started trying new products and really understood how different things worked, that's when I found I became more and more inspired to get creative.

That's one thing I absolutely love to add when teaching... Everyone or thing can be an inspiration, your really organised friend, your neighbours perfect garden, your daughter learning an instrument... I once started as a complete beginner and now I’m proud and excited to know I inspire others to create nails.

It’s the best feeling!

Thankyou for reading, hope you all enjoyed it.
