“ Your students don’t need another copy of someone else. They need the best version of you.”
Are you thinking about becoming a nail educator?
It’s something I get asked about a lot.
Questions such as….
Where do I start?
Do I need to be accredited?
How do I write a manual?
What insurance do I need?
How do I know if I’m ready?
And honestly… there isn’t just one answer.
Being a good educator isn’t just about being good at nails. It’s about communication, patience, organisation, confidence, experience and always being willing to learn yourself. You’re not just teaching techniques; you’re helping people build confidence and start or grow their careers.
After over 20 years in the industry and over 15 years as an educator, I’ve learnt a lot…. sometimes the easy way and sometimes the hard way! I’ve made (many) mistakes, changed things, learnt from some incredible people and continued to invest in my own education.
That’s exactly why I wrote Teach, Preach, Repeat.
It’s the book I wish someone had handed me when I first started teaching.
Inside, I cover everything from accreditation and lesson planning to manuals, branding, pricing, student experience, marketing and building an education business that feels right for you.
It’s not about becoming another version of somebody else. It’s about becoming the best educator you can be.
If becoming an educator is something you’ve been thinking about…. or you’re already teaching and want a few ideas and a fresh perspective, I hope you’ll find something useful inside.
